OpenDoors Necessity Fund Launch Event
OpenDoors is launching its Necessity Fund, an initiative to cover costs around employment, housing, and education for people with records.
Join Us Wednesday, November 13th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM
St. Martin's Episcopal Church
50 Orchard Avenue, Providence, RI 02906
About this Event
The Necessity Fund addresses barriers around employment, education, and housing for people with criminal records by covering associated costs, such as license reinstatement fees, birth certificate fees, and personal hygiene expenses. This will help people with criminal records break through financial barriers to employment, education, and housing, which prevent them from succeeding on the job, excelling in school, or building a home.
Attorney General Neronha and the Right Reverend W. Nicholas Knisely will give remarks at the event followed by OpenDoors clients who have faced these barriers.
Suggested donation is $100 per ticket, and additional donations are welcome.
