Preparing Clients for the Work Environment, Supporting Workers and Employers

Employment Seminar

OpenDoors offers a multi week Employment Program specifically designed for formerly incarcerated individuals which prepares them for finding and keeping sustainable employment. Our unique model combines both seminars, designed to teach best practices and skills in a group setting, and workshops, where individuals actively complete tasks to better prepare them for employment. Upon completion, participants have a full job search plan, a certificate of completion, and are familiar with the NetworkRI system, and other resources and services available to them. For more information about this program contact our Employment Services Coordinator at 401-781-5808 x106 or info@opendoorsri.org.

Ongoing Case Management

Our Employment Services Coordinator works with clients who have completed the basic program to address individual barriers along the road to finding a job and continue ongoing assessments. This ongoing case management continues throughout the job search, placement, and retention process.

Specialized Orientation Sessions

We hold special orientation and training sessions for clients who have risen above the rest and have gained our personal trust and confidence. These sessions are designed as needed based on the parameters identified by our employer partners to prepare individuals for specific job placement opportunities. Our Employment Services Coordinator will work closely with you to design these training sessions, identify candidates that meet your specific needs, and make individual recommendations based on what is important to you.
