9 Yards Awarded a Second Innovative Partnership Grant

In 2013, the Governor’s Workforce Board awarded OpenDoors an Innovative Partnership grant to fund the 9 Yards pilot program. In combination with a Dexter Fund grant, this support allowed program implementation to begin in July of 2013. One year later, 9 Yards is succeeding as it enters its crucial second phase. After working for 11 months in prison in the program, clients are being released into the transitional supportive housing program. Our goal is that after 6 months they will have jobs in skilled occupations and be stable and well on their path to a new life.

In June of 1014, The Governor’s Workforce Board awarded OpenDoors a second Innovative Partnership Grant, sustaining the 9 Yards program for another year.
